How to Apply for PM Vishwakarma Scheme Online
The CSC operator accesses the official PM Vishwakarma login portal using their own CSC account, not the applicant's, and opens the Register Artisans option under the Vishwakarma module. From there, the Aadhaar number is entered, an OTP is verified, and biometric authentication, a fingerprint or iris scan, confirms identity against Aadhaar records. The operator then fills in the applicant's trade, address, family and bank details directly into the portal based on what the applicant provides.
Every application passes through a three-tier verification process: first at the Gram Panchayat or Urban Local Body level, then district-level scrutiny by the District Implementation Committee, and finally state-level approval by a Screening Committee. Each stage checks a different aspect of the application, from basic local verification that the applicant genuinely practices the trade, to district-level document checks, to final state sign-off. The applicant receives SMS verification at each stage of approval process on his registered mobile number, and he can also check the status by login in the PMV portal in his dashboard. Once an application clears state-level screening, SIDBI’s integrated digital infrastructure and banking network facilitate seamless routing of loan application to member lending institutions, ensuring that registered local artisans do not visit a bank branch to lodge their separate loan application.
