20/06/24: SIDBI, in collaboration with the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME), held a seminar on the MSE-GIFT and MSE-SPICE schemes under the World Bank's RAMP Project in New Delhi. Shri Ateesh Kumar Singh, Joint Secretary, MoMSME, welcomed the attendees, and Shri Prakash Kumar, Deputy Managing Director, SIDBI, delivered the keynote address, outlining SIDBI's climate initiatives and alignment with national targets. The event, attended by over 200 participants from various financial institutions and industry bodies, included an interactive feedback session, 'MSME Swar', featuring insights from industry leaders on accelerating green practices.

26/07/24: SIDBI participated in the foundation day celebrations organized by the Sarthak Educational Trust at the World Trade Centre, Mumbai. The event was honored by the presence of Shri Ramesh Bais, Hon'ble Governor of Maharashtra, along with other distinguished dignitaries. Shri Sandeep Varma shared SIDBI's contributions towards the development of underprivileged communities, emphasizing the initiatives undertaken through the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE) to support these groups. The panel discussion on "Policy Partnerships: Government Initiatives and CSR Collaborations" provided valuable insights into enhancing the entrepreneurial ecosystem for Divyangjans (persons with disabilities) and explored potential collaborations with market players to achieve a greater impact on their lives.

30/07/24: SIDBI has signed an agreement with C2FO Factoring Solutions Private Limited ('C2treds') to onboard as a financier on the "C2treds" TReDS platform. This collaboration aims to facilitate working capital financing against trade receivables for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The agreement was formalized in the presence of Shri Prakash Kumar, Deputy Managing Director, SIDBI; Mr. Alexander C. Kemper, Founder and CEO of C2FO Global Operations; Shri Ravi Tyagi, Chief General Manager, SIDBI; and Ms. Basant Kaur, Country Head, C2FO India.

5/08/24: SIDBI conducted a capacity-building workshop titled Evaluating Green Finance Opportunities to enhance stakeholders' understanding of green initiatives and climate finance for MSMEs. Dr. Ravindra Kumar Singh, Chief General Manager, SIDBI, emphasized the significance of a responsive MSME ecosystem in achieving the goals of Vikshit Bharat 2047 and the Net Zero target of 2070. The event highlighted the approval of the Green Climate Fund (GCF)-supported Financing Mitigation and Adaptation Projects (FMAP), which includes a $200 million contribution aimed at facilitating affordable financing for climate-responsive projects. Attendees comprised representatives from small finance banks, non-banking financial companies (NBFCs), microfinance institutions (MFIs), and philanthropic partners, including the Shell Foundation. The workshop also featured discussions on SIDBI's GIFT and SPICE schemes, the Panchtatva mission, and various risk mitigation models.

5/08/24: SIDBI, in partnership with the Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs (COWE), organized the Swavalamban Mela in Gurugram. The event was inaugurated by Shri Rahul Priyadarshi, Chief General Manager, SIDBI, and underscored SIDBI's steadfast commitment to promoting women's entrepreneurship and economic empowerment. Shri Priyadarshi highlighted SIDBI's efforts to create platforms that enable women to excel as independent business leaders and commended COWE for its significant contribution in providing essential training and support. As part of its "Mission Swavalamban," SIDBI is dedicated to transforming job seekers into job creators and supporting sustainable livelihoods, particularly in underserved regions, thereby strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

22/08/24: Shri M Nagaraju, Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Government of India, in the presence of Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman Hon'ble Finance Minister and Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi, Hon'ble Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, addressed that boosting lending to MSMEs is a major focus of DFS and to support this goal, the performance of banks is being closely monitored.

22/08/24: Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Hon'ble Finance Minister, along with Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi, Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, visited the SIDBI branch office in Udaipur, Rajasthan. During the visit, they interacted with officials and handed over loan sanction letters to beneficiaries. The event was held in the presence of Shri M. Nagaraju, Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Government of India.

1/09/24: SIDBI, in partnership with the Sri Satyadeva Printing Cluster Association, initiated its MSME Cluster Outreach Program in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. The event was graced by the presence of Shri Tangella Uday Srinivas, Hon'ble Member of Parliament from Kakinada, and saw participation from over 120 cluster members, including women entrepreneurs. Shri Sanjay Gupta, Chief General Manager, SIDBI, along with other dignitaries, highlighted the budgetary benefits available to MSMEs and announced the establishment of new SIDBI branches in identified MSME clusters to enhance support for the sector.

4/09/24: SIDBI participated in the International Conference on Bioenergy - Unleashing Bioenergy Potential in India, organized by (IFGE) in New Delhi. The conference witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, like Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon'ble Minister of Road, Transport and Highways; Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Hon'ble Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas; and Shri Prahlad Joshi, Hon'ble Minister of New and Renewable Energy. During the panel discussion, SIDBI officials underscored the institution's commitment to promoting a greener enterprise ecosystem. They highlighted various interventions undertaken by SIDBI to support the Bio-Energy sector, reaffirming its dedication to fostering sustainable energy solutions.

10/09/24: SIDBI took part in the Financial Inclusion Conclave 2024 - Serving the Unserved Bharat, organized by CIBIL TransUnion in Mumbai. The event highlighted the significance of data and technology in fostering financial inclusion through digital lending platforms. A panel discussion focused on balancing growth while effectively managing risks to support financial inclusion. The speakers stressed the need for robust systems to fuel sustainable growth. Shri Satyaki Rastogi, Chief General Manager, SIDBI, emphasized the importance of utilizing information from various sources, including alternative and surrogate data, as well as credit bureaus, to ensure sound credit underwriting. He also noted that evolving with prudent lending practices remains essential for driving long-term growth.

13/09/24: Shri Sudatta Mandal, DMD, SIDBI, inaugurated the Patiala Branch office in Punjab and conducted the "Sarthak Samwad" with Entrepreneurs and various industry association office bearers. On the occasion sanction letters aggregating Rs. 5.21 crores were also handed over to 6 entrepreneurs of Patiala and nearby areas.
